Only street legal vehicles are allowed in this valley that has 3 camp grounds, Aspen, Castle Cliff Campground, Hades, and Iron Mine, but if you enjoy 4 wheeling, 100's of miles of trails in the High Uinta's, right off Wolf Creek Pass, are just a 10 minute trailer ride away. Street legal Razors are allowed to leave right from the property to 100's of miles of mountain trails. There is also a turn off in Hanna, just 10 minutes the other way, that takes you to 4 wheeler trails to the top of Castle Rock where you get a view of Hades Lake and our valley, or take the trails to Still Water Dam, all are located with in Ashley National Forest. Starvation Lake is a 45 minute drive from the cabin and is great for all boating activities. It also has a nice beach area and rentals of all sorts for fun on the lake. We enjoy Starvation, because its not as busy as other Utah lakes. Razors are allowed to drive in the valley if they are street legal, bring your 4 wheelers but if they aren't street legal, you'll have to trailer them a short distance to the many trails in the Uinta Mountains. Bring all of your toys because there is something to do with them all year round, bikes, horses, fishing poles, tubes, 4 wheelers, Razors, hiking shoes, snow shoes, cross country skiing, snowmobile right from the house plus many trails from Wolf Creek Pass, and boating! We spend time at the cabin in the summer and trailer our boat to Starvation Res (little Lake Powell). it is beautiful and less crowded than any other Utah lakes and only 46 miles from the cabin. The property itself is 3 acres, the house is 2900 sq ft, with an extra 1300 sq ft of outdoor decking living space with an outdoor fire place on the deck. The house overlooks Swift Creek (seasonal creek that runs year round based on mountain snow pack) that runs through the property and makes a beautiful waterfall sound. If swift Creek happens to be dry, you can hear the larger North Fork River from the house too. The cabin has a nice size fire pit with bench seating is just steps away from the front door. North Fork, where the cabin is nestled, is a beautiful valley with mountains that have beautiful rock formations and cliffs, Lightning Ridge, Castle Rock, and Stone Face to name a few. Also at the cabin is a wonderful master suite with an extra deep soaker tub. Master has its own walk out deck. Large loft and pool table, loft has its own walk out deck with amazing views of valley and river. 2 bedrooms on main floor with 1 bathroom. Open concept main living area and kitchen. Rancho Sin Vacas is a beautiful, secluded, 12-acre property on the North Fork of the Duchesne River. Located at the base of the Ashley National Forest in Hanna, Utah. Hanna's population is about 100, luckily, my site is sandwhiched between Navajo Red Sandstone outcroppings. This no traffic light, one gas station town is 78 miles east of Salt Lake City. Has the charm of locals waving at on coming cars and a grocery store that sells milk and horseshoes by the pound. My Ranch house has an updated kitchen complete with a set of new appliances, dining room, a living room with a new leather queen bed sofa sleeper, a full bath, one large bedroom with a queen bed, and a bedroom cantilevered over the river with a queen bed (max occupancy of rented area is 6). The cantilevered room was originally built 40 years ago and is the only legal cantilevered structure over the Duchesne River. Windows are on all sides, with electric heat, not radiant. The front deck of the ranch house is 25 feet from the river and a large fire pit 15 feet from the river. A small campfire area and seating is on the river bank under the cantilevered bedroom...3 feet from the river. I own about 1/4 mile of river frontage, both sides...three to four fishing holes are present, where brown and rainbow trout reside. Guests can fish up and down the Duchesne River for miles, since the State of Utah Department of Resources purchased these rights in the 70's. So fish as long as you want and come back and hang out near the river... the mesmerizing sound of the river and the the bright stars at 6800 feet is spectacular way to unwind for the day. For over 20 years, Rancho Sin Vacas has served as a sandbox for raising my three daughters. It is time to share this gem. Come fish and play on my property on the Duchesne River. Since I am the very first legal Bed and Breakfast in Duchesne County, it is mandatory that I am present on site. Guests get the cantilevered bedroom exclusively, but not the entire ranch house. I have a studio upstairs, not over any of the rented area. But I might spend the night in my 800 square foot , ten tree treehouse aka...Tajmahut.. complete with Murphy bed and fireplace up river... or across the river in my 16 ft by 24 ft wall tent ...aka... The entertainment area includes a BBQ for grilling them up for a healthy meal, and the enclosed yard with a large playground allows the kids to run around without having to worry about them wandering down to the river or the road unattended. The cabin is nestled in a sheltered canyon which is often 10 degrees or more cooler than the surrounding area and channels a cool breeze in the summer. We have found that there are only a handful of nights a year when it feels warm, and overhead and portable fans are available for these times. To keep the cabin cool on warm days, open windows just before sunset and close all windows around 10 am and keep them closed throughout the day.

Wintertime: All roads to the cabin are snowplowed. 4 wheel drive vehicles are recommended during the winter months November thru May. Winter is a great time for sledding, skiing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling from the driveway. Snowmobile rental information is also available. Snowmobiles can be delivered right to our driveway. You can reach National Forest Lands 1/2 mile away. You can snowmobile to Daniels Summit for lunch, go to Strawberry Reservoir, or any number of places. Snowmobiling in the Uintas is unlike any other in the country. We are also close to many local resorts so you can enjoy activities at the cabin, and the nearby resorts. Just 25 minutes away are a couple of different options for commercial tubing, or go on the 'North Pole Express' on the Heber Valley Railroad and meet Santa, or ride their 'Tube n' Trains' to combine a relaxing train ride with the rush of snow tubing. About our private community: At 8000 feet, and near many small lakes, this is the perfect place for a vacation. There are approximately two miles of paved road and in excess of 30 miles of gravel roads. The area is wooded with the lower elevations populated with scrub oak, sagebrush, buck brush, choke cherry and rabbit brush. The higher elevations have aspen and fir trees. There are several small lakes and ponds. Deer, moose, fox, raccoons, porcupines, badgers, squirrels, chipmunks and many varieties of birds inhabit the area. Two story, all brick country farm house located in the quiet farming town of Kamas. This home was built by my grandparents as they homesteaded their cattle ranch on the west foothills of the Kamas Valley in the early 1900's. This is a brand new restoration where we've tried to maintain the old time country charm that we grew up loving in this wonderful home. Four bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, nook, dining room , and living room with a two car detached garage with patio and outdoor fireplace. This warm and cozy home is exactly 15.4 miles to the Park City Mountain Resort, 17.4 miles to the Canyons/ Park City resort entrance. 16.2 miles to the Deer Valley Resort, and 10.1 miles to the east entrance/Jordanelle Gondola to Deer Valley. You will experience little, if any, traffic from this Kamas house to the ski resorts. There are several local restaurants in Kamas along with a large grocery store(two blocks), pizza take-out(two blocks away), liquor store(two blocks away), and two gas stations (closest is one block away). The very modern and fancy Summit County Aquatics and Fitness center is exactly two blocks away. For those vacationers willing to drive 15 minutes to the ski resorts or downtown Park City, this home offers tremendous value when compared to properties within Park City/Deer Valley while offering a quiet and cozy escape from the crowds and busy ski resorts.

Our family completed construction of our cabin in the mountains east of Heber in 2014. We spend weekends regularly there, but offer it to family, friends and others we know will take care if it on special occasions throughout the year. We ask for no pets, no smoking, and no parties/gatherings other than our guests. Cleanliness and respect to neighbors is important to us. Our cabin has two large great room areas, one upstairs with a gas fireplace and windows looking across the valley, and one downstairs with a flat screen for movies, chess table, and place for the kids to play. Huge couches in both comfortably seat 8. The large kitchen is well equipped for any of your cooking needs, and the dining table also seats 8. The cabin has beds for 7 -- one queen in each bedroom upstairs, and one double and one twin in the bedroom downstairs. There are two bathrooms, with a bathtub / shower upstairs, and a large shower downstairs. We built a walk-in closet adjacent one of the bedrooms for the purpose of sleeping a baby - as that is how we used it when our kids were young. We spend most of our time at the cabin outdoors. The wrap around deck on the front and side offer spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valley below, an ideal setting for a family BBQ, watching the sunset, or spotting wildlife (we see deer on every visit, but also moose, elk, fox, etc). We have a 6 person hot tub in the backyard. Location is in a gated cabin community 7 miles east of Heber Main Street and 20 miles southeast of Park City. Our cabin is about 1 mile inside the gate, so 15 minutes from Heber, 30 min from Park City/Deer Valley, 40 min from Sundance, and one hour from either Utah County or Salt Lake County. Each time of year offers something wonderful: summers are for deer and moose watching, golfing and boating at nearby Deer Creek Reservoir or Jordanelle. Spring and fall offer great nearby hiking, fishing and 4 wheeling; and winters are filled with skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and sledding. Rentals of ATVs and snowmobiles can be delivered from Heber to access the national forest a few miles up the road and offer days of exploring in all directions. Parking of snowmobiles on the property is not feasible, and Timberlakes restricts snowmobiles inside of the gate community to owners only with strict adherence to passes issued. Access in the winter can be challenging, as the roads are gravel and steep, especially right in front of our lot, and including our driveway. 4x4 truck or SUV is needed from November to March. Chains may be needed in case of storm or melting snow that turns to ice. Also, Timberlakes only plows the roads at the conclusion of snowfall, so it is possible to get "stuck" at the cabin for a day while waiting out a storm! Update on electronic connectivity: - Internet: Wifi just installed (as we avoided it for many years to truly get away). Speed is 20MB. No streaming services setup. - Phone: Verizon and TMobile work well, but there are spotty areas (including Timberlakes gate is notoriously bad). There is plenty of parking right in front and the cabin is located on the plow route for access even in the harshest of weather. You can sit out on the deck and have a BBQ or stay inside its beautiful either way. There are wild deer and moose that visit regularly. If you want to bring your four wheelers or utv's there are miles of private road and just a few miles up the canyon you can access the entire unitah national forest. This is a snowmobilers dream escape if that is the season we are in you can go for days right from the cabin all the way to strawberry and further. The rooms have a very cozy feel and all have brand new high end mattresses.
